For this LEGO store Grand Opening I am volunteering/working at this weekend, we have to wear a sort of uniform - khaki pants, black polo shirt, black shoes.

Thing is, I don’t have a black polo shirt, and I think my khakis (which aren’t actually chinos, but are tan colored) go better with brown shoes.  I suppose it all depends on the belt…

I suggested to Matt that I would buy this polo in navy with yellow threading, which I’d consider wearing in other contexts:

But he insisted that they require black.  Then I suggested a black button-down, and I’d roll up the sleeves.  This way I wouldn’t have to buy anything.  But no, has to be a polo.  So I’m going to have to buy a dull black polo (probably this one) that I won’t want to wear otherwise (all black would be ideal for cat-burglary, but not short sleeves)

Why must the LEGO store enforce these draconian rules on volunteers?  The Danish are supposed to be super-fashionable!

Buy a shirt, tuck in the tags, wear it once, and return it.
